Cut by Patricia McCormick
PAGES READ: 76
TiME: 1:52
I'm currently reading the book Cut written by Patricia McCormick. This is the second time that I'm going to read this book, since the first time I didn't really understnad it. It was kind of weird, so now I'm going to try and read it again to understand it better. I thought that the plot was interesting, so I decided to read this book.

I noticed that Callie says "I'd tell you" a lot. I guess it's because Callie doesn't talk, she just mostly thinks about things and pretends that she's talking to someone. It confuses me sometimes, but you have to read the text carefully to understand what's happening. I end up reading some of the passages over and over again to understand it better. I also noticed that Callie kind of gets distracted easily, like she memorizes colors of the cars in the parking lot. She describes of tiny things that she does such as pulling on a loose thread.

I don't understand why Callie doesn't talk. She wants to speak, but she doesn't. I guess it's because she goes to the "residental treatment facility", but I don't understand why she cuts herself and why her mom wants her there. It doesn't seem that Callie is mad at her parents that she's at Sea Pines since she doesn't beg them to pull her out of the facility.
